Keep moving CUCEA participation in the process of training of teachers who will be the hemispherical Prevention Coordinators. Once the meetings in Thailand - Asia, San Salvador - Central America and Mexico City, now the expert group gathers in the offices of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington DC, to continue the exercise training towards the consolidation of a hemispheric Prevention Curricula. On this occasion, the topics discussed related to prevention in the workplace.
UPC is a result of collaboration between CICAD / OAS, the Colombo Plan International Centre for Certification and Professional Education Sciences Addictions (ICCE, for its acronym in English) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and initiative crime (UNODC, for its acronym in English) with funding from the Agency for International Narcotics Affairs and Public Order (USINL, for its acronym in English) of the United States Department of State.
This time twelve experts worldwide, in which the teacher Oscar Felipe García, director of the International Programme for Social Innovation, and research professor of this university participates, were making their contributions from different disciplines and global contexts, and participating in one more session of the curriculum.
One of the challenges that are evident in the meeting is the need to address the issue of prevention in the workplace as a priority health and safety, which involves the involvement of large numbers of human lives as a result of accidents on organizations and thus with costs that translate in terms of productivity and profitability for countries.
